Best Wishes from Mr. Delong

Hope all went well and everyone can now laugh at those most embarassing moments from so long ago. Few classes are able to claim such a tight bond between mates after twenty years - reminds me of the kind of bond my father had with his shipmates after the War. They had some wonderful tales to tell, as I'm sure you did today.

This weekend was one of our few opportunities to enjoy a visit with our son. He just returned from the SIGGraph Conference in SanDeigo (Jeff will know it), on his way back to Western, in London. He's working on a self-imposed, rigorous schedule for his PhD. in Computer Science.

I would love to have visited, to learn where your interests have taken you, and too see if you still resemble the "younger you". The sign-up schedule for food trays made me laugh - especially when I saw Wayne sign up for sweets, and Piper sign up for fruit - both still true to form. Once in a while I'm in the Whitby area and I recognize faces from K. Rowe.

My wife and I have been retired of over five years now. Only she still has teaching nightmares. Go figure! I remember coming back after summer break with a badly broken foot and trying to work while it became more swollen and painful as the day progressed. It was broken in a motocross accident. The foot is still painful today. My sister's boy married Bill Batten's youngest daughter and they are now running the local Josten's school photo business from Whitby. Mr. Batten may have been your principal, and if so, you will remember he and his wife playing fiddle and piano at our Christmas carolling assemblies.

Drive safely everyone. And if you ever see the guy in the middle below, driving our old red '93 Corolla Wagon, surprise him with, "Hello, Andrew! My how you've grown!" He was eight years old in 1987. That's not his baby picture on the mantle.
